The RIGA 3s is the second smallest RIGA greenhouse (3 side panels; 2s has -2, 4s – 4). The RIGA is truly a European greenhouse designed to grow in the middle of winter! Hoklartherm RIGA Greenhouse

The RIGA is truly a greenhouse by the European definition of a greenhouse – designed to be used to grow fresh vegetables, herbs and flowers in the middle of winter. While other so called “greenhouses” using less than 8 mm twin-wall polycarbonate, are considered to be Season Extenders, to be used when only a slight night frost might be expected during the spring or fall season. At best they can only be used to house established plants during the winter season.

As the Germans like to call it the “Onion” shaped, this structure withstands strong winds. Riga is the best structure for cold weather especially during snows. Snow will slide right off . The frame is really strong which explains why our customers always brag about keeping these greenhouses for a long time!

One major advantage of the Riga’s construction method is that the frame profiles are permanently attached to each other, and won’t come loose over time due to wind pressures.

The polycarbonate glazing on the Riga Greenhouse is German made and believed to be of superior quality than the much more common Poly-gal or GE glazing.

In addition, great airflow is provided as you open the Dutch barn style door. As the temperature of the greenhouse changes, the over-sized rear window will open and close automatically depending on the inside temperature.

Delivery is done through LTL Motor Freight and is free, unless you live in an area with limited access (i.e. island etc…this is extremely rare) this might incur extra fees.
We ship using an 18 wheeler (let us know if there are tight roads or low hanging wires, manufacturer cannot guarantee the availability of a smaller truck)
Someone will need to be available to receive the greenhouse. We will call to set up a delivery timeframe. Driver might need help although he will do most of the work.

Greenhouse RIGA

Our new greenhouse is so awesome! It was tough to get it all put together because we have never done anything like that before. Once it was up and running, though, it was magnificent. The windows and the fan all work very well together to keep the temps just right. We are growing things like crazy!

The best part about the whole thing, though, has been the service. There were a few snags to get things up and going, a few bad or missing parts at the first, but the customer service always came through very quickly to get our needs taken care of. They have been amazing!

For the Riga 4, is the base frame necessary if I have a Treated timber foundation?

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your interest in our greenhouses! The optional base/foundation frame is designed to be buried in a trench to anchor the greenhouse. If you have another form of anchoring, such as timbers – you will not need the foundation frame. The greenhouse includes L brackets to attach to another surface – you will need to provide appropriate screws to attach though – we recommend stainless steel.

If you are placing the greenhouse on treated wood, we do recommend using a barrier material as sometime the chemicals in treated wood can interact with aluminum.
